To Learn The Foundations of Phonics

Using our programme we will help you understand the key skills of our programme.

Letter Sounds

Children are taught the main letter sounds. This includes the sounds made by the alphabet letters and by digraphs, such as /sh/, /th/, /ai/, and /ue/.

Letter Formation

Letter Formation

Children learn how to form and write the letters through a variety of multi-sensory methods.

Blending

Pupils are taught how to blend the sounds together to read new words.

Segmenting

Children learn to Identify the sounds in words, a key skill for writing.

Tricky Words

Children are taught to read and write 72
high-frequency words by learning the ‘tricky’ parts of the spelling.
